The creation of good samaritans

Robert H.Sculler wrote a book which became the best seller and listed in The
Newyork Best Seller. The name of the book is ‘Tough Time Never Last But Tough
People Do’. In this book, he described the bad phase or the worst phase of his life
and the extreme struggle of his father with a rock-solid determination to go up to
the extreme level of his capacity and to convert the pitch black present and future
to the days full of sunshine. He did not give up hope in any circumstances. He
described in his book-how the drought and the tornado devastated their firm but
when lost everything, his father started afresh. He mortgaged his land and
availed loan from the bank. At last, the dusk of despair wiped out with the outcome
of sunny days.

If anyone has strong determination and a strong will to overcome all the odds of
his life, there will be someone in any nook and corner who will extend his hands of
co-operation and be a guide to patronize his fight for betterment as it happened in
the life of Rohit- Rohit Roy. He lives in a small town named Nawadwip which is
the birthplace of one of the greatest religious prophet Sri Chaitanya in West
Bengal India. His father has a small grocery shop. The income of which is too low
to provide their daily needs. But not only is that Rohit physically challenged and
has no mobility but even he cannot seat comfortably as his lower part of the body
does not respond. Yet he never thinks of giving up studies, rather in the midst of all
the constraints, he secured 83% marks in his higher Secondary exam and is
nourishing a dream to continue his higher studies from Jadavpur University-a
renowned university in West Bengal. But how he can get the way to fulfill his
dream!

Or, as it happens to Sudipta- who secured 96% in Secondary Exam. His father had
a business of incense sticks. The income is so poor that everything is impossible to
Sudipta. Anyhow their days were going on. But all on a sudden his father died
And the situation became graver. Yet he secured 93% of marks in Higher
Secondary Exam. After that another problem added- his mother became ill. What’s
next? Sudipta thinks! Should he pursue higher education or to give up and try to
earn something to survive. But he is the vivid example of the next part of Robert
Schuller’s book. And that is “Tough people do”. So he took admission in the
college with honours in Physics. He obtained 84% marks and stood first in North
Bengal University. He started private coaching to earn and continue his education
further. But the reality is different. Though he did everything he can do, that was
not appropriate to meet the fiscal needs. What is the future of Sudipta? Shall he
give up his dream of higher education?

The father of Robert Schuller got the assistance of the bank who relied on him and
was sure that they were standing by the side of a person who was not afraid of
gloomy days rather had the confidence of overcoming it. The same thing happened
to Rohit, Sudipta and many others nearly 43 persons who sought the way to
struggle and thought to make their life glorious by way of assiduous persuasion of
higher study and established themselves in the society. They could achieve their
goal as Srijan Sujan came and stood by their side. They helped them in their
studies to materialize their dream in life.

In the year 2002, Abhijit Sengupta, Arup Roy, and some others saw a painter who
was suffering and whose life became miserable in poverty. They thought to do
something to make his life easy. They arranged a gallery to make a show of his
paintings. They encouraged visitors to purchase his paintings- his creations. They
gathered fund this way and continued his treatment. He regained his health and
started a new life. Their assistance made the rebirth of the artist and made a
successful come back.

The incident encouraged them. They too got enthusiasm to stand by the people
who are struggling a great but need a hand to cross the road of their struggle. The
enthusiastic people formed a platform-SRIJAN SUJAN to extend their hands of cooperation mainly to the students who are meritorious but struggling to reach the goal.

Srijan Sujan now an organization, a govt.registered society, formed by some
people and run by some young energetic folk who believe they have some
responsibilities and contributions to the society. They select the needy students to
continue their higher studies within their limited capacity. They provide all the
costs which are must to carry on their studies.

Since 2002 the organization is continuing their work and becomes a lighthouse to
the students who have no resources to carry on but have firm belief of striding
through the roads of all sorts of struggles and obstacles. They get courage as they
know SRIJAN SUJAN is with them and stands as a torch to bring forth their dream
in reality.

SRIJAN SUJAN is an example of creation, rather more than that of creation.
Because it creates life, a better life, which carries the candle of hope, enthusiasm
and a live demonstration of fighting against all despair and obstacles that often
come in the way of life.
